Rose Lucy Guman
Rose Lucy Guman, 94, formerly of Jim Thorpe, died June 30, 2012 at the Valley Manor Nursing Home, Coopersburg. She is the wife of the late Andrew G. Guman, Jr. (Dec. 24, 1992). Born in Jim Thorpe on April 14, 1918, to the late Peter and Wilhelmina (Hoehing) Marzen. Roseand her late husband owned and operated the Guman Funeral Home in Jim Thorpe for 50 years. She previously worked at a knitting mill for 7 years and also as a Mail Clerk for the Lehigh Valley Railroad during the war for 3 years. She is a member of Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Colesville and worshiped at St. Josephs Parish in Jim Thorpe the majority of her life. Survivors: Children: Richard Andrew and his wife Cathy of Pensacola, FL, Carol Ann Barron of Bethlehem; sister: Rita Gigliotti of Jim Thorpe; grandchildren: Melissa Penniman, Christine Raymond, Kevin Barron, Kimberly Baran and Jonathan Barron; great grandchildren: Jack and Sam Penniman, and Caroline Raymond. Predeceased by a granddaughter: Jennifer Barron. Services: Family and friends are invited to call 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at the Church, 4101 Old Bethlehem Pike, Bethlehem followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Private interment at St. Josephs Cemetery, Jim Thorpe.
