Susan Ann Kershner, 46, of Allentown died Saturday, December 15, 2012 in the Hospice House of the VNA of St. Lukes, Bethlehem. She was the wife of Bryan W. Kershner. They celebrated their 9th wedding anniversary on September 13, 2012. Born in Williamsport, she was the daughter of James M. and Deanna J. (Karicher) Miller of Wescosville. A 1984 graduate of William Allen High School, she attended Lehigh Carbon Community College. She began her teaching career with Lehigh Valley Child Care working at their site formerly located on Hanover Ave. in Allentown. She currently was a teacher at Bethany United Methodist Church, Wescosville, working in the Pre-School Program and the Mothers Morning Out Program. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. Survivors: Husband; parents; beloved son, Carter J. Kershner at home; brother, Stuart J. Miller husband of Dr. Laurie Harford of Upper Macungie Township; sister, Sharon L. wife of Samir Ashmar of Breinigsville; father-in-law and mother-in-law, William F. Kershner, Jr. and Frances J. (Klegarth) Kershner of South Whitehall Township; paternal grandfather-in-law and grandmother-in-law, William F. and Gladys N. Kershner; maternal grandmother-in-law, Helen C. Klegarth all of Allentown; sister-in-law, Cheryl L. Kershner of Northampton; three nieces and three nephews. She was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Martin and Kathryn Miller; maternal grandparents; Donald and Anna Karicher and niece, Sierra Ashmar. Services: A celebration of Susans life will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, December 20, 2012 in Bethany United Methodist Church, 1208 Brookside Rd., Allentown. Call 9 to 11 a.m., Thursday in the church. Arrangements by J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, Allentown. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Susans memory to Bryan W.
