Taylor Schultheis
Taylor Christian Schultheis, 18, of Slatington went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 6, 2012. Taylor was a high school senior. He loved music, especially singing and had participated in the school chorus. Taylor is the son of Susan and Joseph R. Schultheis. Survivors: Taylor is survived by his parents; brothers, Aaron and JT at home; and grandmothers, Marie F. Haytmanek of Allentown and Helen B. Schultheis of Easton. Services: Services will be held Wednesday, November 14 from 6 to 8 p.m., with a service at 8 p.m. in the Kohut Funeral Home Inc., 950 N. Front St., Allentown, PA 18102. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family in care of Kohut Funeral Home to help defray final expenses.

I had the honor of being Taylor's teacher when he was a student at Dodd Elementary School in Allentown. His determination to always try his best was an inspiration to many people. I had the privilege to work with Taylor as his elementary school principal during his year in fifth grade at Ironton Elementary School; he was such a special little boy! I am so very sorry to hear of his passing - it was just heartbreaking to hear this news. Please know that the hearts of those at Ironton are with you and our school family sends love and prayers to all of Taylor's family and friends.
