Virginia McGovern Obituary
Virginia Ginny McGovern, 83, of Bethlehem, died May 31, 2012. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of Josephine (Green) Bevlin, of Bethlehem and the late Carl Bevlin. After graduating from Liberty High School in 1948, Virginia was employed in various jobs in accounting. In later years she enjoyed working as a home health aide. She enjoyed playing cards and shopping. She was an avid animal lover and especially enjoyed being with her family. Survivors: Mother; daughters, Gingerlou, wife of Paul Saylor, of Bethlehem and Kathleen McGovern, and her boyfriend, Terry, of Hellertown; grandchildren, Paul Saylor III, and his wife, Ellen and Samantha, wife of Basil Breininger; great-grandchildren, Haylee and Brayden Saylor; and her former husband, Thomas McGovern, and his wife Ruth, of Zephyr Hills, FL. Services: Graveside services will be private. The Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Hellertown, is entrusted with arrangements. Ginny was a very classy lady. My sister and I hung with Kathy in the early '70s when we lived catty corner from them. Ginny and Tom were always good to us when we visited. She is at peace. Good memories. God bless.
