Dean D. Knecht
Dean D. Knecht, 61, of Bethlehem, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2014, at Manor Care. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Frederick Cyrus and Viola (Wessner) Knecht. Dean served his country in the U.S. Marines as an airplane mechanic in Cherry Point, NC. He worked as a caretaker for the estate of George Hurd. Dean was a former member of College Hill Moravian Church in Bethlehem. He also enjoyed watching television and reading books, and he was an excellent cook and baker. Survivors: Sister, Janet Paulus and her husband, Ronald, of Kutztown; brother, Frederick Knecht and his wife, Donna, of Phillipsburg, NJ; nieces and nephews and their families. Services: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 21, 2014, in the Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem, where friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of the services.
