Rev. Aaron W. Fox
Rev. Aaron W. Fox, 87 years, formerly of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on Friday February 14, 2014 at Phoebe Terrace. Born in Macungie to the late Aaron R. and Irene V. (Wendling) Fox, he was the husband Marietta M. (Schuler) Fox for 64 years. A proud graduate of Muhlenberg College and the Lancaster Theological Seminary, he was Pastor Emeritus of St. Johns UCC Fullerton, serving the congregation for 40 years, retiring in 1991. He later served as Stated Supply Pastor of Trinity UCC Coplay for ten years. Pastor Fox was the Charter Secretary of Penn Northeast Conference of the United Church of Christ. Always dedicated to those in his community, he was a longtime member and tail twister of the Whitehall Lions Club, and officiated at many township and school district functions. He honorably served with the US Army in the Philippines and Korea. Survivors: Besides his wife; son Kevin A. and his wife Melody of Northampton; daughter Cynthia M. Reck of Whitehall; grandchildren Joseph and Jennifer, Nicole, Lauren and Craig, Stephen and Christine; great-granddaughter Natalie with another expected blessing due any day; sister Anna Mae DeWalt and her husband Theodore; predeceased by sister Elizabeth Moyer and brother Gerald Gillespie. Services: Noon on Saturday February 22, 2014 in St Johns UCC Fullerton, 575 Grape St.,Whitehall, PA 18052 where is viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Interment private. Contributions: St. Johns UCC Fullerton Endowment Fund at the address above or Trinity UCC Memorial Fund 17 N. 3rd St. Coplay PA 18037.
