Joseph E. Bodish
Joseph E. Bodish, 87, of Schnecksville, passed away February 24, 2014 at his residence. He was married to Jean (Kehm) Bodish for 62 years. Born in Beersville, he was the son of the late Julius and Sofi (Puskaritz) Bodisch, Sr. A past officer in the Lehigh Valley Tavern Association, he was the proprietor of the Ruchsville Hotel, Joe and Jeans Cafe, Catasauqua, Whitehall Tavern, Cementon and the Neffs Hotel. He was also employed by JAD Amusement Co., Allentown. Joseph was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church, Coplay. Survivors: Besides his wife; a son, Douglas E. Bodish, husband of the late Anne (Flynn) Bodish, of Schnecksville; sister, Hilda Andrew of Saylorsburg. He was predeceased by siblings, Julius Jr., Richard, Anna Hader, Sophie Piller, and Rose Tapler. Services: 10 a.m., Friday, February 28, Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home (haukefuneralhome.com), 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m, St. Peters Catholic Church, Coplay. Viewing from 9 to 10 a.m., Friday, in the funeral home. Interment parish cemetery, Whitehall. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, to the church c/o the funeral home, 18037.
