Wilbur H. Meinhart
Wilbur H. Meinhart, 77, of Danielsville, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2014, at the Muhlenberg Campus of Lehigh Valley Hospital, after a valiant and courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Theodora J. Teddy (Miller) Meinhart. They observed their 53rd wedding anniversary on September 10. Born in Palmerton on November 27, 1936, he was a son of the late William and Laura (George) Meinhart. Wilbur was a graduate of Palmerton High School, class of 1957. He was employed by Lucent Technologies, Allentown for 37 years before retiring as a layout operator. Wilbur was a member and served on the Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Co. Ambulance Corp., and also served as a volunteer at Meals on Wheels. He was a life-member of the Point Phillips Rod & Gun Club, and he was a member of Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Trachsville. He enjoyed old western movies and country western music. Wilbur was truly loved by everyone who met him. Survivors: In addition to his loving wife, Teddy; he is survived by his brother, Merritt Meinhart of Bowmanstown; brother-in-law, Lenny Miller and his wife, Cindy, of Moore Township. He is survived by a nephew, Daniel H. Miller of Moore Township, with whom he had a very close bond. Additionally he is survived by two nieces, Ellen Herman of Blackwood, NJ and Amy Miller of Allentown; as well as additional nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Services: To be announced by the George G. Bensing Funeral Home, Inc., Village of Moorestown-Bath.
