Rose M. Imp
Rose M. Imp, 96, of Whitehall passed away suddenly Friday, February 28, 2014, in Sacred Heart Hospital Emergency Room. She was born September 13, 1917 in Coplay and she was the daughter of the late Paul and Johanna (Bauer) Brem. Rose was employed as a seamstress and Floor Supervisor for Fuller Sportswear in Whitehall, until her retirement in 1982. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Whitehall and the Altar & Rosary Society for over fifty years. She was a cook at the West Coplay Maennerchor for many years. Survivors: Daughters, Rita, wife of Jerry Neuman, of Whitehall, Diane, wife of Dennis Onkotz, of Boalsburg, PA; six grandchildren, Dana Maclean, Erin Raecke, Gretchen Labrie, Elissa Cohan, Rachael Wilkins, and Carly Onkotz; seven great-grandchildren, Haley and Jeremy Raecke, Brendan and Brett Cohan, Brooke and Matthew Labrie, and Sydney Wilkins; a brother, John Brem, of Coplay; sisters, Elsie, wife of Joe Marcin, of Whitehall, Helen, wife of Michael Lazor, of Whitehall. Rose was predeceased by her sisters, Joan Kroboth, Emma Liebezeit, Amelia Brem, Agnes Bauer; and a brother, Rudolph Brem. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 6, at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 3024 S. Ruch St., Whitehall. Family and friends may call Thursday, 9 to 10 a.m., in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery.
