John Rundle
John F. Rundle, 81, of Bushkill Township, passed away on Sunday, March 02, 2014, at the Muhlenberg Campus of Lehigh Valley Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Cora A. (Wentzell) Heatter Rundle with whom he shared 47 years of marriage prior to her passing in 2004. Born in Forks Township on September 01, 1932, he was a son of the late George Sr. and Mary C. (Redline) Rundle. John honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was employed by Essroc Cement Co. for 42 years before retiring in 1997 as a millwright mechanic. John was a member of St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church of Plainfield. He raised livestock and enjoyed butchering. Survivors: He is survived by five (5) brothers, George Rundle, Jr. of Nazareth, William Rundle and his wife, Annabelle of Bushkill Township, Herbert Rundle and his wife, Hilda of Stroudsburg, Richard Rundle, Sr. of Phillipsburg, NJ, and Frederick Rundle and his wife, Bettyann of Bushkill Township; two (2) sisters, Betty Kessler of Bethlehem and Edith Hermany and her husband, Donald of Breiningsville; along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to his late wife, Cora, he was preceded in death by two (2) brothers and six (6) sisters. Services: Will be held on Thursday, March 06, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the George G. Bensing Funeral Home, Inc., 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, Village of Moorestown - Bath, PA 18014. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Thursday morning from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Wind Gap Cemetery, Plainfield Township. Contributions: In memory of John may be made to the St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1422 Church Road, Pen Argyl, PA 18072.
