Patricia A. Pat Silfies, 75, of Moore Township, passed away on Wednesday, March 05, 2014, at the Muhlenberg Campus of Lehigh Valley Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of John T. Silfies, Sr. They observed their 57th wedding anniversary on September 1st. Born in Allentown on October 11, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Catherine (Peters) Snyder. Pat was a graduate of Hollidaysburg High School, class of 1956. She loved working with children and was employed as a teacher aide at the Moore Township Elementary School for many years before retiring. Pat enjoyed playing pinochle in her card club, as well as knitting and crocheting. She was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church, Klecknersville where she served on the choir. Pat will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her family and friends. Survivors: In addition to her loving husband, John, she is survived by her children; three (3) sons, John T. Silfies, Jr. and his wife, Debbie of Salisbury Township, Chuck Silfies and his wife, Cheryl of Virginia Beach, and Andrew Silfies and his wife, Amy of Coplay; daughter, Monica Choke and her husband, Peter Jr. of East Allen Township; fifteen (15) grandchildren; seven (7) great-grandchildren; three (3) brothers, Arthur Snyder of Allentown, Ralph Snyder of Monroe County, and Kim Keck; three (3) sisters, Passy Becky Klotz and her husband, Robert of Fountain Hill, Roxanne Rosado and her husband, Angel of Bethlehem, and Melody Bonilla of Allentown; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Keith Silfies and two (2) brothers, Robert and Harry Snyder. Services: will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the Covenant United Methodist Church, 2715 Mountain View Drive, (Klecknersville), Bath, PA 18014. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Monday evening from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. in the George G. Bensing Funeral Home, Inc., 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, Village of Moorestown - Bath, PA 18014 and Tuesday morning from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. in the church. Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Allentown. Contributions: in lieu of flowers, may be made in memory of Pat to the Covenant United Methodist Church.
