Parmatha N. Beri
Parmatha N. Beri, 73, of Allentown, died on Sunday, March 9, 2014, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was the husband of Shakuntla (Batra) Beri. The couple celebrated 49 years of marriage on February 7. Born in Gujrat, India, he was the son of the late Gurudass Beri and Mela Devi Sehgal. Parmatha received his bachelors degree in Civil Engineering in India and later earned his masters degree in Civil Engineering from Bucknell University. He was an active member of the Hindu Temple Society of Allentown where he and his wife donated countless hours to build the Temple as the General Contractor. He was the owner and operator of PSB Construction in Allentown for 27 years until retiring in 2009. Previously he was employed by Penn DOT for several years. Survivors: Wife; daughter, Anjna Beri; son, Rajive Beri and his wife, Lorie, of Atlanta; brothers, Vidya and Subhash Beri; grandchildren, Jeremy Kattner, Joshua and Jonah Beri; and great-grandchildren, Emma and Jackson Kattner. Services: Prayer, 2 p.m., Friday, Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 17th and Hamilton Streets, Allentown. Following the prayer service there will be a visitation to greet the family. Cremation to follow at Greenwood Crematory, Allentown. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the , 212 E.
