Frank Yuhas Obituary
Frank Yuhas
Frank J. Yuhas, 70, of Bethlehem, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2014, at St. Lukes Hospital, Fountain Hill, after a valiant eight-year battle against lymphoma. Frank celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary with his loving wife, Judy (Michler) Yuhas, on January 4. Born in Bethlehem, Frank was the son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Kanusky) Yuhas. Frank was a United States Air Force veteran and served in the Vietnam War. He later worked at the United States Post Office as a postal carrier for 23 years. Frank loved dearly all of his grandchildren, each one of whom is convinced that he or she was his favorite. He also loved fishing with his buddies, beach trips with his wife, drinking beer on the front porch, and playing fetch with his cat. Survivors: Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Fran (Yuhas) Regan, her husband, Mike, and their four children, Shea, Brooke, Ty, and Chase; a son, Christopher Yuhas, his fiancee Cheryl Rodger, and their children, Christopher, Jordan, Billie and Ian; two great-grandchildren, Alexa and Christopher Yuhas; brothers Joey and Marty Yuhas; sisters, Martha Gehris and Grace Sibulsky, and his beloved cat, Nixie. Services: Visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2014, at Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem, with a memorial service immediately following at 11. A private burial at Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with military honors will be held at a future date. Please sign the online guest book at www.longfuneralhome.com. Contributions: The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be sent to Disabled American Veterans or the Wounded Warrior Project.
