Rick MadDog Moyer, 60, front man of Blues Night Out, lost his battle with cancer on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 in St. Lukes Hospital, Fountain Hill. He and his wife Kathy (Salunek) Moyer resided in Allentown. Born in Egypt, he was a son of the late Gordon and Lucille (Krommes) Moyer. Rick was recently recognized with a life-time achievement award for his 30 years of dedication to traditional blues. He traveled up and down the east coast and played in 28 states. Survivors: Loving wife Kathy of 15 years, and the girls, Elizabeth and Sarah; Step-Son: Edward Boroughs; Grandchildren: Brandi Moyer, Nikki, Hannah, Zane; Great-grandson: Brayden; Sisters: Anita Mazziotta, Nanette MacKenzie, Karen Montz, Deborah Washington. Rick was predeceased by his daughter Jennifer Moyer. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., 1335-37 Linden St., Allentown. Call 9-10:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home.
