Funari, JoAnn E.JoAnn E. Funari 85, of Allentown, passed away on Tuesday March 18, 2014 in her home. JoAnn was the wife of the late James O. Funari Sr. who died in 1979. Born in Connellsville, PA, she was a daughter of the late William and Rose (Moriarity) Albine. JoAnn was a member of the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena in Allentown where she was a member of the Women's Alliance for many years. She was a long time member of Brookside Country Club and was a great golfer and bowler. Along with her best friend Mary Earley, she was a champion bridge player at the Cathedral Bridge Marathon. She will always be remembered for her Beautiful Slender Wrists which were a source of great pride. Survivors: Surviving are her sons; James O. Jr. and Linda of Easton, John and Jane of Allentown, Michael and Colleen of Easton, and Paul and Mary of Upper Montclair, NJ. Daughters; Roseann wife of Michael Tedesco of Moosic, Pa., Susan Funari of Allentown, Molly Fleming of Allentown, and Jane wife of Albert Albright of Allentown. JoAnn has 27 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her 13 siblings. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday March 21, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Cathedal of St. Catharine of Siena. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 6:00-9:00 pm in the O'Donnell Funeral Home 908 Hanover Ave. Allentown.
