Edward J. "Dutch" Kline Obituary
Kline, Edward J. "Dutch"Edward J. "Dutch" Kline 91, of Allentown, formerly of 637 Hanover Ave. passed away on Friday March 21, 2014. Dutch was the husband of he late Catherine S. (Schwab) Kline who died in 2000. Born in East Mauch Chunk he was a son of the late William F. and Mary (Traenkle) Kline. Dutch worked as a purchasing agent and a safety representative for 39 years for the former Western Electric Company in Allentown prior to his retirement. He served in the US Army during WWII in both the European and Pacific Theaters. Dutch was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Allentown, and was a member of the former Holy Name Society. He was a member of Calvary Council #528 in Allentown, and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He was a Boy Scout member of the Order of the Arrow and was a Troop Leader for Troop # 39 in Allentown. Survivors: Surviving is his son Edward W. and spouse Linda of Macungie. Daughters; Bonita L. wife of Joseph A. Mlasgar of Cherryville, and Patricia A. Shaller of Allentown. Dutch has 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by siblings William A., Marie Bonner, Margaret Kline, and Eleanor Fedorcha. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday March 25, 2014 at 11:00 am in Our Lady Help of Christians. Calling will be on Tuesday from 9:00-10:40 am in the O'Donnell Funeral Home, 908 Hanover Ave. Allentown. Contributions: In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to his church 444 N.
