Herbert S. DuBois Obituary
DuBois, Herbert S.Herbert S. DuBois, III, 67, died on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was the husband of Linda W. (Whipple) DuBois. The couple would have celebrated 45 years of marriage on September 27th. Born in Savannah, GA, he was a son of the late Herbert S. Jr. and Lettye (Bunger) DuBois. He earned his BS in Chemistry from Mars Hill College and received his Master's Degree in Business. Herbert retired as a Lt. Col. with the United States Air Force, having served for 22 years, retiring in 1991. During his military career he served during the Vietnam War as an F-111 Pilot and also trained pilots. After retiring from the Air Force, he flew commercial airplanes with Continental Airlines for 17 years until his retirement in 2006. He was an avid scuba diver and underwater photographer. Survivors: loving wife, Linda; children, Herbert S. DuBois IV and his wife Megan, of Emmaus, Terri Meyers and her husband Don, of Allentown, Christine L DuBois, of Greensboro, NC, and Ryan A. DuBois, of Allentown; siblings, Mike, Dan and Steve DuBois and Kathy Kneapler; and 4 grandchildren. Services: Memorial, Sunday 3 p.m. at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm Street, Emmaus. A visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
