Gardner, James H.James H. Gardner, 73, of Macungie, died Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at his residence. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Edwin C. and Anna E. (Romig) Gardner. For many years, he was a professional truck driver for U.N.D.S. He was a proud U.S Navy veteran who enjoyed being very active in the Emmaus area and their VFW, American Legion, where he served as Sgt. at Arms in the honor guard, Emmaus Catholic War Vets and was a life member of Emaus Fire Co., #1. Survivors: Daughters, Toni M., wife of Earl Kromer of Macungie, Deborah A. Young of Allentown, brothers, Peter E. and his wife Donna of Breinigsville, Edwin C. and his wife Becky of Quakertown, sisters, Sandra J. Schaefer and her husband Lenny of Palmerton, Gail, wife of Jerry Morton, of Summerfield, FL, two granddaughters, Annmarie Best and Tara Young, companion, Darleen Bower of Macungie, and a furry friend Brandi. He was predeceased by brothers, Michael, Larry and foster brother Kenneth D. Hilbert, sisters, Judith Bailer, Becky Rothrock. Services: memorial services are being arranged for the Emmaus VFW and will be announced at a later date.
