Holzman, Elizabeth A.Elizabeth "Betty" A. Holzman, 88, of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 in Lehigh Valley Hospital Hospice in Allentown. She was born in Bethlehem on December 28, 1925, and was a daughter of the late Victor and Anna (Straka) Dolak. She was the wife of the late Charles B. Holzman who died in 1969. They were married 22 years.Elizabeth was employed for many years as an excellent seamstress for various textile mills in Allentown and Bethlehem. She was a founding and devout member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church, and a member of the Church's 55+ Club. She was an avid gardener of vegetables, herbs, and flowers. She was an excellent baker and was renowned for the best tasting Slovak kiffles. She had a deep interest in health-related topics. She was devoted to her family was ever willing to help her family and friends. Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Briant and daughter, Cynthia, wife of Peter Biedenkopf, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her twin brother, John Dolak, brother, Stephen Dolak and sisters, Helen Huerta, Anna Wiedl and Barbara Karetz. Services: A viewing will be held at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, on Saturday, April 26 from 8:15-9:15 AM., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church, 1861 Catasauqua Rd, Bethlehem, PA 18018.
