Douglas A. Campbell Obituary
Campbell, Douglas A.Douglas A. Campbell, 82, of Forks Twp., PA died April 22, 2014. Born in Easton he was a son of the late James and Virginia Campbell. He received an Associate's Degree from Penn State and had been employed by the Crayola Co. for 43 years before retiring. He was an avid fisherman who loved bicycling, traveling worldwide and gardening, especially his orchids. He also served in the Navy during the Korean War as a communications technician. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church where he served on Church Council and was a member of the American Production Inventory Control Society and past-president of the Industrial Management Club of Lehigh Valley. Survivors: He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years: Barbara A.; son: David L. Campbell and wife Stacy of Forks Twp.; daughters: Deborah L. Gibson and husband Kim of Sherman, IL, Cherie Y. Sperlbaum and husband Jeffrey of New Tripoli; brother: James G. Campbell of Nazareth; sister: Jayne E. Kunkel of Glastonbury, CT; 6 grandchildren: Justin Gibson, Garrett and Samantha Sperlbaum, Collin, Courtney and Brayden Campbell and great-grandson: Brendan Gibson. He was predeceased by a son: Todd Douglas Campbell and brother: Robert Campbell. Services: 10:30 AM Monday in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton, with visitation from 9:30 to 10:30. Interment in Hope Cemetery, Hecktown.
