Walter H. Weaver Obituary
Weaver, Walter H.Walter H. Weaver, 83 of Hanover Township, Northampton County, died Tuesday, July 1st, 2014 at Gracedale, in Nazareth, PA. He was the husband of Elsie H. (Hutter) Weaver celebrating their 63rd wedding anniversary in April. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Walter C. and Edna (Fehnel) Weaver. Walter worked for Western Electric as a Senior Electrical Engineer for 40 years before retiring. He served his country in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. Walter was a graduate of Bethlehem Vo-Tech High School and received his Bachelors Degree at Lafayette University. He was a professional guitarist playing with various local big bands and orchestras and later in his life became very experienced in working with stained glass. Survivors: Surviving with his wife Elsie is his son Michael, husband to Mary Weaver. Daughter Karen, wife to Michael Schlagel. Four grandchildren; Michael & Brian Schlagel, Tracey & Kelley Weaver, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Evelyn Seifert. Services: Memorial services will be held 11am Saturday, July 19, 2014 in the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut Street, Catasauqua, PA 18032. Call from 10-11 am Saturday in the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Notre Dame of Bethlehem Building Fund, 1835 Catasauqua Road, Bethlehem, PA 18018.
