Michael L. Ripic Obituary
Ripic, Michael L.Michael L. Ripic, 83, of Schnecksville, died Wednesday, July 2, 2014 in his home. He was the husband of Bogumila S. (Chojnacki) Ripic of Poland and the late Olga E. (Bailey) Ripic. Born in Endicott, Brook County, NY, May 1, 1931, Michael was the son of the late Michael and Anna (Opalenek) Ripic. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War era with a rank of Corporal. His education accomplishments include a B.S. in Elementary Education from Moravian College in 1958, a M.S. in Elementary Education in 1961 from Temple University and Post Graduate work at Lehigh University in 1967. Michael was a 6th Grade Elementary School Teacher in the Bethlehem School District from 1958 - 1993. Prior to that, he attended the Belleview Hospital School of Nursing in New York from 1950-1952. He was a Life Member of the NRA, the Allen O. Delke American Legion Post #16, Slatington and the former Vernon G. Kern V.F.W. Post #8344, Schnecksville. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Bogumila; son, Richard M. Ripic at home; sister, Carol Ripic of New York; step daughter, Aneta Wysoczanska and her husband, Stanley of Poland; granddaughters, Marta and Weronika. Services: Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:30 - 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2014 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville followed by a graveside service at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs.
