Ramer, Oscar C.Oscar C. Ramer, 86 of Allentown- N. Whitehall Twsp., PA. died Sunday, July 27, 2014, at Fellowship Community in Whitehall, PA. Born October 13, 1927 in Hokendauqua, PA., he was the son of the late Oscar W. and Theresa (Mesics) Ramer. He was the husband of Jane (Arnold) Ramer with whom he shared 64 years of marriage this past April 29, 2014. Oscar was the production control manager at Bally Ribbon Mills, Bally, PA for 5 years before retiring in 1993. Prior to he worked in the same capacity for American Safety Equipment, Whitehall, PA. for 30 years. He was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Whitehall, PA. A member of both the Hokendauqua American Legion, and Whitehall-Coplay A.A.R.P. Group. He served his country during WWII as a PFC in the Army Air Corp. from 1945 until 1947 earning a WWII Victory Medal. He enjoyed Hunting, Fishing, Gardening, and especially spending time with his family. Survivors: Surviving along with his wife Jane are; A Daughter, Vicki wife of John Diorio of Roseto, PA. A Son, Brad Ramer & wife Eileen of Ambler, PA; 3 Granddaughters, Erika, Jill, and Kelli and 2 Great-Grandsons, Jackson and Griffin. He was predeceased by 2 Brothers, William and John Ramer. Services: A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday July 30, 2014 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3355 MacArthur Road Whitehall, PA 18052. The Rev. Michael J. Bodnyk will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the services in the church. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown, PA. The Schisler Funeral Home, of 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, PA. 18067 is in charge of arrangements.
