Campbell, Edward A.Edward A. Campbell, 80, of Upper Nazareth Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Nellie N. (Buskirk) Campbell with whom he shared 62 years of marriage last October 6th. Born in Easton on November 16, 1933, he was a son of the late Edward Campbell and Helen (Gist) Martocci, and a stepson of the late Michael Martocci. Edward was a graduate of Pen Argyl High School, class of 1951, where he played on the football team and band. He served as a dispatcher for the former Trumbaurer Quarry in Nazareth for 28 years before retiring. After retiring, Edward worked part-time for the former Super-Value in Lower Nazareth Township for 12 years, and later for Nazareth Hometown Hardware. He was a diehard Philadelphia Eagles fan and a founder and former head coach of the Nazareth Clippers Youth Football Team, as well as a wrestling coach for the Nazareth Youth League. Edward was a member of Schoeneck Moravian Church. Survivors: In addition to his loving wife, Nellie, he is survived by his children, Eddie Campbell and his wife, Chat of Hudson, Florida, Donna L. Thorman and her husband, David of Upper Nazareth Township, Cookie Harron and her husband, Craig of Moore Township and many other children they loved as their own; twelve (12) grandchildren; thirteen (13) great-grandchildren; a brother, Michael Martocci and his wife, Kathy of Brandon, Florida; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, David T. Campbell in 2013, a grandson, Travis Szerencitz in 1997, and a brother, Donald Campbell. Services: A memorial service in celebration of Edward's life will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. in the Schoeneck Moravian Church, 316 N. Broad Street Extension, Nazareth, PA 18064. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Thursday morning from 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. in the church. Interment will be private. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the George G. Bensing Funeral Home, Inc., Village of Moorestown - Bath, PA. Contributions: may be made in memory of Edward to his family in care of the funeral home.
