Kemmerer, George AllenGeorge Allen Kemmerer, age 88, of Murfreesboro, TN went to be with his lord and savior on Monday, August 4, 2014. A native of Allentown, PA, he was also a long-time resident of Myrtle Beach, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Minnie Ohlinger Kemmerer; and four siblings, Evelyn Bartholomew, Robert Kemmerer, Rachel Huggins, and Charles Kemmerer. Mr. Kemmerer attended World Outreach Church in Murfreesboro. He was born November 20, 1925 and was a graduate of Allen High School. He served in the United States Army during World War II in Germany as a Paratrooper and radioman from 1944 through 1946. Mr. Kemmerer was an estate planner for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. With this, he also owned and ran several apartment complexes in Bethlehem, PA and Saucon Valley, PA. Mr. Kemmerer had a deep passion for gardening and also enjoyed financing. Survivors: Mr. Kemmerer is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Faye Ernst Kemmerer; children, Brent Kemmerer and his wife Patti of Breingsville, PA and Shirley Masteller and her husband Bob of Murfreesboro, TN; six grandchildren, Josh Kemmerer and his wife Jenna; Jessica Dvorshack and her husband Matt, Jeffrey Kemmerer, Robert Masteller and his wife Katie; Jacob Masteller and his wife Amanda; and Katie Barnett and her husband Jason; six great-grandchildren, Skylah and Reagan Kemmerer, Addison Masteller and Robert Masteller IV, and Roland and Charlotte Masteller; siblings, Ruth Markley of Nazareth, PA, Sam Kemmerer and his wife Jane of Easton, PA, Esther Peters of Allentown, PA, Jeanette Mills of Myerstown, PA, Joel Kemmerer of California, and Helen Blosser of Goshen, IN; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
