Smith, Mary ReginaMary Regina (Bodnar) Smith, 81, of Schnecksville, formerly of Orefield and Passaic and Clifton, NJ, died Wednesday, August 6, 2014 in her home. She was the wife of the late George A. Smith. Born in Phoenixville, Chester County, Mary was the daughter of the late Andrew J. and Mary A. (Hudak) Bodar. She was employed as an LPN for the Daughters of Miriam Center in Clifton, NJ for ten years. Prior to that, she worked at St. Joseph's Hospital in Paterson, NJ for two years. Mary was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield, where she was a member of the Rosary Society, volunteered at church sponsored health screenings, was a member of the funeral choir. Mary was a member of the Schnecksville Senior Citizens. Survivors: Children, Marianne E. Warren of Orefield, Teresa R. Baron of Schnecksville, Kim M. Kiermaier of Orefield, Daniel E. Thompson of Marietta, GA; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; predeceased by a son, Thomas J. Kuleski-Thompson and a granddaughter, Andrea Mion. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 11, 2014 at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield with the Rev. Msgr. Robert J. Wargo as Celebrant. No calling hours. Interment will follow the Mass at Resurrection Cemetery, Wescosville. The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., in Schnecksville is in charge of arrangements.
