William H. Kurtz Sr. Obituary
Kurtz, Sr., William H.William H. Kurtz, Sr. 88, of Bethlehem, died on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at his residence. He was born August 11, 1925 in Bethlehem, the son of the late, Frederick and Laura (Anthony) Kurtz. He is the devoted husband of 63 years to Irene (Karch) Kurtz. He served his country during WWII in the 26th infantry division of the U.S. Army. William was a proud veteran of D-Day and the Battle of the Bulge. He was a sheet metal worker for Allentown Supply and with Local 19 at Albrad Metal Co. William was a charter member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and volunteered his time. Survivors: He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Irene; sons, William H. Kurtz, Jr. and his wife, Lori of Bethlehem; Edward Kurtz and his wife, Joanne of Bethlehem, daughters, Denise Wallbillich and her husband, Tom of Canton, GA and Deborah Baransky and her husband, Michael of Punta Gorda, FL; nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren and his sister, Geraldine Dilliard of Bethlehem. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Ryan and six siblings. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 11, 2014 at 11 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18020. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 10:30-11 AM. Burial with military honors will be held at Bethlehem Memorial Park.
