Merritt W. Sywenki Obituary
Sywenki, Merritt W.75, of Walnut Drive, Northampton, Lehigh Twp, died suddenly Saturday morning, August 30, 2014, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg Campus. He was the husband of Linda E. Daubert Sywenki since Jan 17, 1959. Born in Cementon, Whitehall Twp, he was a son of the late Michael and Marion (Waltz) Sywenki. Merritt was a master carpenter for the Carpenter's Union Local Phila, and Allentown, for over 30 years, retiring in 2000. He was a member of Zion's Stone United Church of Christ, Kreidersvill, where he served on the Consistory, and formerly taught Sunday School. Merritt loved carpentry, especially intricate work. He built many homes throughout Pennsville and the Lehigh Twp area. He also enjoyed and previously owned early model Ford Thunderbirds. Survivors: wife. Daughters Tammy L., wife of Thomas Kleintop; Teri L., wife of William Malitsch, all of Northampton. Three grandchildren: Anthony, Nicole and Kimberly. Five great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by son Tab M. in 1980. Services: 11:00 AM Friday, Zion's Stone UCC, 51 Church Road, Northampton (Kreidersville), PA 18067.
