Sally C. Murphy, 48, of Lower Nazareth Twp. died April 14, 2010 in her home after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She and her husband Patrick J. Murphy were married 28 years on March 20. Sally was born September 5, 1961 in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of Nancy R. (Aldrich) Christie, of Fort Meyers, FL and the late William H. Christie. Sally worked in banking for more than 20 years, most recently as an Assistant Vice President at K.N.B.T. Bethlehem. Formerly, she was co-owner, with her husband Patrick of Designer Landscaping for 14 years. She was a member of First-Presbyterian Church, Bethlehem. She was a 1979 graduate of Freedom High School, Bethlehem and a graduate of Northampton Community College, Bethlehem. Sally was a member of the former Lower Nazareth Twp. Womens Club and volunteer for the United Way. Sally loved traveling on cruises with her husband and sons. She loved watching her sons wrestle at Nazareth High School and now at Hofstra University, NY and at Edinboro University, PA. Survivors: Besides her husband and Mother, she is survived by two sons, Patrick W. and Timothy T. at home, twin sister, Susan C. Paden and her husband Thomas R., Bethlehem; brother, William A. Christie and wife Lisa D., Bethlehem; mother and father-in-law, Mary and Patrick Murphy, of Edgewater, FL; sister-in-law, Kathleen Dick and husband Kenny, Bethlehem Twp.; nieces, Christie L. Jones, Emily Dick; and nephew, Kyle Dick, all of Bethlehem. Predeceased by nephew, Frank W. Jones. Services: Monday, 11 a.m. First Presbyterian Church, 2344 Center St., Bethlehem. Call 10 a.m. Monday in the Church and Sunday 4 to 8 p.m. in Reichel Funeral Home, 220 Washington Park, Nazareth. Burial is in the Holy Savior Cemetery in Bethlehem. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sally C. Murphy Blue Eagle Wrestling Memorial Scholarship, payable to Blue Eagle Wrestling Booster Club or BEWBC in c/o Reichel Funeral Home, Nazareth.
