Adam Paul Reiner Jr.
Adam Paul Rheiner, Jr. passed away peacefully on June 19, 2010 at home in Rancho Cucamonga, California. He was the son of Mary R. and Adam P. Rheiner Sr. and the brother of the late Jean R. Herasimchuk. Born in Bethlehem on October 31, 1921 he entered the U.S. Army Air Corps on June 3, 1942. He served as an armorer gunner aboard B-24 aircraft with the 5th Radar Calibration Detachment in the Western Pacific and Ryukus campaigns. Paul worked from 1952-62 as Rheiner & Campbell Concrete Contractors, then was self-employed until retirement. He later relocated to California where he resided. He enjoyed woodworking, reading, and sailing and barbecuing with the Navy Yacht Club San Diego. Survivors: Paul is survived by son, Tom; brother-in-law, Michael V. Herasimchuk of Bethlehem; and nephews, Peter Herasimchuk and Jon Harrison and his family. Paul will be missed by family and friends, and particularly his pals in California. Services: A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2010 from 9:15 to 10 a.m. in Ss Simon and Jude Catholic Church 730 W. Broad St. Bethlehem. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday in the church, lnurnment to follow in Holy Savior Cemetery, Bethlehem www.downingfuneralhome.com.
