Francis D. McCullion, 83, of 144 E. White St., Summit Hill, passed away on May 10, 2011 at Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Home in Lehighton. He was the husband of the late Irene (Bowen) McCullion who died in 1982. Born in Summit Hill, he was the son of the late Edward J. and Estella (McGory) McCullion. He worked for Bundy Tubing in Hometown for 29 years and was last employed for the U.S. Postal Service in Kunkletown and Brodheadsville for 11 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church Summit Hill. Francis was a member of the Summit Hill American Legion and a life member of DAV. Survivors: Sons, Francis McCullion and his wife Maureen, of Slatington, David McCullion and his wife Therese, of Lake Hauto, Anthony McCullion and his wife Karen, of Slatington, and Andrew McCullion and his wife Pamela, of Summit Hill; daughters, Sharon Woomer and her husband Rob Weisenberg, of Bethlehem, Cathy Faenza and her companion Tim, of Palmerton, and Maureen Bredbenner and her husband Gregory, of New Tripoli; a brother, Lawrence McCullion and his wife Stephanie, of Summit Hill; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers Edward Ecker McCullion and John McCullion; and sister, Inez Boyle. Services: Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011, at 9 a.m. from St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 462 W. Ludlow St., Summit Hill. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, White Bear, Summit Hill. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church.
