John J. Jack Flynn, 74, of Palmer Twp., Pa., passed away on Monday June 27, 2011 at Easton Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Scranton, Pa. on August 30, 1936, he was the son of the late John T. and Mary A. Conor Flynn. He was currently the co-owner of DataLink Associates, Inc.; previously he was the founder and co-owner of Valley Healthcare, formerly in Bethlehem; He was previously employed by Ingersoll-Rand, formerly in Phillipsburg, NJ and also Arthur Young Public Accountants in New York, NY. Graduated Scranton Prep School in 1954 and the University of Scranton in 1958 as a CPA. He taught accounting at Lafayette College and Muhlenberg College. St. Jane de Chantal Catholic Church, Palmer Twp., where he was a Eucharistic Minister, member of St. Vincent de Paul Society and was the rector of the 3rd parish retreat. He was the founder of the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry in the Easton area and two years ago began the Walk for the Poor. He formerly was on the Diocese of Allentown Pension Board and McGinley Mills Board of Directors, formerly in Phillipsburg. Mr. Flynn was a former Board member at the St. Francis Retreat House in Easton, Pa. where he lectered and was a daily communicant. Survivors: Mr. Flynn is survived by his wife, the former Margaret L. McAndrew;his four children are Maura J. Doherty and her husband Brian, Morristown, NJ; Sheila R. Keating and her husband Edwin, Phoenix, MD; John T. Flynn and his wife Kristine, Doylestown, Pa.; Daniel P. Flynn and his wife Julia, Shrewsbury, Mass. His Grandchildren, who called him Papa, were the light of his life, they are Maeve, Declan and Brendan Doherty; Edwin and John Jack Keating; Erin, Ava and Lily Flynn; Charlotte and William Flynn. Mr. Flynn is also survived by a sister Joan M. Kaneof Dalton, Pa. and two sisters-in-law Ann M. Leikert and Clarita McAndrew, both of Staten Island, NY. Services: Funeral services will begin on Friday July 1st, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Finegan Funeral Home, 1837 Washington Blvd., Easton, Pa. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Ave., Palmer Twp., Pa. Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Palmer Twp., Pa. Viewing hours will be held on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
