Ethel Eva Kistler
Ethel Eva Kistler, 89, of Aquashicola, died July 10 at home, surrounded by family. She was the wife of the late Ervin L. Kistler, who passed away in 1965. She was a proud homemaker, and a life member of the Aquashicola Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Ethel was a member of St. Johns Towamensing Lutheran Church, Palmerton. Born in Aquashicola, she was a daughter of the late George and Lillian (Rothrock) Snyder. Survivors: Daughters, Mrs. Lillian Kroboth, Linda and husband Wayne Strohl, both of Walnutport, Lois and husband Larry Silfies of Klecknersville; sons Ervin Jr. and wife Ruthann, of Palmerton, Charles and wife Sandy, of Aquashicola, Brian and wife Ruthann of CT; grandchildren Carol Clause, Jon Kistler, Paula Kistler, Gretchen Laviolette, Scott Strohl, Darryl Strohl, Larry Silfies Jr., Matthew Silfies, Charles Kistler Jr., Rachel Kistler; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother Allen and wife Marie of Aquashicola. She was predeceased by her beloved granddaughter Christine Strohl, sister Shirley Ruch, brothers Roland, Lyman and Willard, sons-in-law Bruce Strohl and Clair Kroboth. Services: Graveside memorial, 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 13 in Towamensing Cemetery, 3rd St and Fireline Rd, Palmerton. Arrangements, T.K. Thomas Funeral Home, Palmerton.
