David Fazakas Jr. Obituary
David L. Fazakas, Jr.
David L. Fazakas, Jr., 68, of Bethlehem, passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, May 29, 2012. He was the husband of Anita (Moralis) Fazakas, with whom he lovingly shared over 33 years of marriage. Born in Fountain Hill, David was a son of the late David, Sr. and Mary (Ford) Fazakas. He proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He attended night school over several years to receive his degree from Moravian College, graduating in 1988. Dave was a programmer analyst for many Lehigh Valley businesses during his career, including Bethlehem Steel, GPU Energy, Durkee French, and AT&T. He was also a substitute teacher for the Bethlehem Area School District for many years. Dave was a member of Edgeboro Moravian Church, where he sang in the choir. He enjoyed long walks, biking, playing table tennis, and bowling at Town & Country Lanes. He also played in the band, Reflections of Time. Survivors: Wife, Anita; sons, David L. Fazakas, III, and his wife Amanda of Hebron, OH; Daniel J. Fazakas of Brandon, FL; daughter, Mary Ann Fazakas of Bethlehem; twin brother, James M. Fazakas and his wife Doris of Bethlehem; brother, Richard J. Fazakas and his wife Joan of Whitehall; grandsons, David Fazakas, IV, and Ryan Fazakas. Services: Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem, where friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of services.
