Irene B. Tutko, 84, formerly of Holly St., Hazleton, died Friday June 8, at Cedar Brook, Allentown were she had been a guest. She was born in Freeland, daughter of the late Wassil and Mary (Mikovich) Miglas. She was a member of the Parish of Ss. Cyril and Methodius at the Church of St. Joseph, Hazleton. She was a graduate of Foster Twp. High School. Prior to retiring she was employed as a seamstress in the local garment industry and enjoyed baking, cooking and sewing and spending time with family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Tutko in 2006 and the following brothers and sisters: John, Joseph, Pauline Miglas, William, George, Mary Remak and Helen Notaroberto. Survivors: She is survived by her two children, Joseph James Tutko and his wife Sue, Hagerstown, MD, Susan Mushock and her husband Thomas, Emmaus, PA; and the following brothers and sisters: Veronica(Verna) Merenich and her husband George, Freeland, Miriam Theresa Yaruso and her husband Jack, Carlisle, PA, Edward Miglas and his wife Rosanne, Hazleton, Thomas Miglas and his wife Joanne, Palmyra, VA; three grandchildren, Eric Michael and Steven Daniel Mushock and Elizabeth Laker; one great-grandchild Hollie Lakerand; over 30 nieces and nephews and about 49 great/grand nieces and nephews. Services: The Funeral will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. from the Frank J. Bonin Funeral Home Inc. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at the Parish of Ss. Cyril & Methodius at the Church of St. Joseph. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. Contributions: Donations in Irenes memory to the or the Parish of Ss. Cyril and Methodius at the Church of St. Joseph would be appreciated by the family.
