Richard Schaeffer Obituary
Richard L. Schaeffer, 74, of Allentown passed away on October 26, 2012 at home. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Oliver and Catherine (Kincaid) Schaeffer. He was the husband of late Sandra L. (Horvath) Schaeffer who passed away in 2006. He was employed by the Pillsbury Co., East Greenville for many years until retiring. Richard was a graduate from Parkland High School and an Army veteran. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Survivors: Children, Thomas J. and wife Lisa of Allentown, Michael A. and wife Eleanor of New Tripoli, Karen L. Kelly and husband Michael of Allentown and Lori A. Schaeffer-Jones and husband Ian Jones of Allentown; brother, Irwin and wife Eleanor; sister, Catherine Staples; five grandchildren, Kristen, Ryan, Tommy Jr., Megan and Timothy. Richard was predeceased by a brother, Paul. Services: Memorial Service Saturday, 10 a.m. at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 17th and Hamilton Streets, Allentown. A calling hour will be held 9 to 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery Wescosville. Contributions: Donations can be made to Lehigh Valley Hospice, 2166 S. 12th St., Allentown, PA 18103 or to the American Cancer Society, 3893 Adler Place, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
