Jean Chromiak, beloved wife and Khouriyee of the late Very Rev. Fr. John Chromiak, passed away November 5, 2012 in her home in Rodeo, New Mexico. Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Mary; brother, William; and sister, Dorothy Blazofsky. A 1949 graduate of the esteemed Allentown Hospital School of Nursing, Jeans distinguished career commenced in OR at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in NYC. Her professional journey expanded to Geriatrics, where she shared her devotion and experience at Thirty Thirty Park Avenue in Bridgeport, Connecticut, followed by Beverly Manor and Manor Care in Atlanta, Georgia. She retired in 1993 as Director of Nursing; however, she continued to inspire a new generation of caring nurses through teaching until 1997. Jeans unwavering love and service to her church and family will be missed and leaves an indelible mark in the hearts of all those she touched. Survivors: She lovingly leaves behind her children, Sonia and John McGuinn of Lake Villa, Illinois, Johanna Chromiak, Esquire of Rodeo, New Mexico, Angeline and Todd Sears of Bradenton, Florida, Nadine Chromiak of Decatur, Georgia and son, John Chromiak of Tuscon, Arizona. She will also be remembered as a proud and doting grandmother of twelve along with her seven great-grandchildren. Services: Graveside service will be officiated by the Very Rev. Fr. Anthony Sabbagh of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery in Catasaqua, PA on Saturday, November 10 at 3:30 p.m. Contributions: Arrangements by Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, Coplay, PA. In lieu of flowers and in recognition of her lifetime of heartfelt generosity and remarkable impact, donations to St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church in Allentown, PA, Gila Regional Medical Center Hospice in Silver City, New Mexico, and the Red Cross are appreciated. May her memory be eternal.
