Joseph Marcin
Joseph Marcin, of Allentown, passed away on November 16th at the age of 90. He was a kind and loving son, brother and uncle who was born in Czechoslovakia to the late Michael and Mary (Guydan) Marcin and he was predeceased by his brother Michael and sisters Helen Barbera, Mary Szoke, and Ann Simonetta. Joseph was a double recipient of the Purple Heart while serving in the U.S. Army, during WWII. He had worked at Grief Manufacturing for 35 years, retiring on August 6, 1984. Joseph was a member of St. Michaels Byzantine Catholic Church, an avid Phillies and Eagles fan, but most of all, he was known as a great gardener. Survivors: sister Nancy and husband William Zeky; and many nieces and nephews. Services: A viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 20th from 10 a.m. until a service at 11 a.m. both at Weber Funeral Home, 502 Ridge Ave., Allentown.
