James A. Anderson, Jr., 80, of Allentown, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, went home on Tuesday, December 4, 2012. James was the husband of Marian R. (Litts) Anderson and they celebrated their 58th anniversary this past October. Born in Queens, NY, James was a son of the late James A. and Mabel (Kerz) Anderson Sr. James was an independent trucker working for Schneider Trucking for many years and previously worked for the North American Van Lines. James has driven over three million miles safely. He attended the Harrisburg Academy. He was a member of Zion Reformed U.C.C. Church in Allentown where he was a Deacon for many years. James proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War and received the Naval Occupation Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #780 in Cresco, he was a Boy Scout Troop Leader for Troop #9 in Allentown and was a member of the Order of the Arrow. James was very proud of his family who loved and adored him. Survivors: Surviving with his wife Marian are sons, James R. in Jim Thorpe, Thomas J. and his spouse Nancy in Cadott, WI and John K. and his spouse Maria in Allentown; a daughter, Ruth L. wife of William Anton in Northampton; James is survived by his 10 grandchildren and his 12 great-grandchildren. Services: Will be on Friday December 7, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. in the ODonnell Funeral Home, 908 Hanover Ave., Allentown. Calling will be on Friday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Cedar Hill memorial Park.
