Thomas Lee Bauer, 57, of W. Main Blvd., Bath, E. Allen Twp., formerly of Lehighton, died Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown. Born in Lehighton, he was the son of the late Albert J. Bauer, Jr. and Mrs. Frances W. (Lahr) Bauer, with whom he resided. Thomas worked as a security guard for the Black and Decker Corp., Allentown. Previously, he worked in delivery and transport for Guardian Photo, Qualex Co., Catasauqua. He was a member of Dinkey Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ashfield. A 1973 graduate of Lehighton High School, he played trumpet in the school band and the Parryville Band. Thomas served in the US Army, Vietnam Era, and achieved rank of Sp4. He enjoyed music, cars, visiting casinos, hunting, and fur trapping. Survivors: Mother; sisters, Diane Bauer of Bath, Mary, wife of Barry Williams, of Lehighton; nephew, Christopher and wife, Jerilynn Derhammer of Lehighton; great-nephew, Trent; aunts; uncles; and cousins. He was predeceased by uncles, Charles Lahr and Ben Ledo. Services: Memorial services, 11 a.m., Monday, Miller Funeral Home, 137 Fairview Street, Lehighton, PA 18235.
