Joan M. Brezina Yapsuga, 63 years, formerly of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, February 24, 2013, at the home of her brother in Allentown, with her family by her side. Born of the Catholic faith in Allentown to the late Paul J. and Margaret (Hughes) Brezina, Sr., she was the widow of Edward F. Yapsuga, Jr. who was killed in Vietnam on March 10, 1970. They were married less than two years at the time of his death. She was a 1967 graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School. Survivors: Daughter, Lori A. Marinucci of Allentown, with her children, Victoria, Tyler and Mia; son, Michael J. Interrante, of Las Vegas; brothers, Paul J., Jr. and his wife, Patricia, with whom she resided, and Michael and his wife, Sharon, of Tennessee; sisters, Suzanne Saylor and her husband Herbert, Margaret Gitski and her husband, Joseph, Dolores Breitfeld and her husband, Herbert, and Teresa Schwenk and her husband Charles, all of Whitehall; along with a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. Services: 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 5, 2013, in the Gilbert Funeral Home, 444 Pershing Blvd., Whitehall, located 1 block south of the Fullerton Ave exit of Route 22, with Rev. Dr. Becky J. Beckwith officiating. Visitation with her family will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, Northampton. Contributions: To
