Donna L. Carlsson
Donna L. Carlsson, 74, of Haycock Twp., Bucks County, formerly of Kane, PA, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013 in St. Lukes Hospital, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the Rev. Dr. Andrew E. Carlsson. They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary in August 2012. Born in Chicago, IL, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Edna (Larson) Wirth. Donna was an administrative assistant at Kane Community Hospital for 25 years before retiring. Mrs. Carlsson was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Coopersburg, where she sang in the choir. Donna was known locally as a stain-glass artisan. In Kane, she was a member of the Kane Players, performing in several musicals. She was also a member of the Kane Chorus, Ridgeway Chorus, and Meadville Chorus. Donna was a loving grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also assisted her daughter, Kristin, in the daily care of her children. Survivors: Husband; children, Dr. Mark A. Carlsson and his wife, Marcie, of Butler, Peter J. Carlsson of Butler, Jennifer E. Bartek and her husband, Richard, of Butler, Linda S. Bryce and her husband, Gary, of South Park, Kristin S. Hassler and her husband, Greg, of Haycock Twp.; sister, Beverly Scheskie and her husband, James, of Des Plaines, IL; grandchildren, 17; great-grandchildren, two. Donna was predeceased by a sister, Jean Shirley Pridham. Services: 11 a.m., Wednesday, St. James Lutheran Church, 333 E. Oxford St., Coopersburg, 18036. Call 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday in the church.
