R. David Stewart
R. David Stewart, 70, of Emmaus, died suddenly on March 26, 2013. He was the husband of Wilma A. Stewart, with whom he would have celebrated their 50th anniversary in August. Born in Morgantown, WV, he was the son of the late Robert and Helen (McQuay) Stewart. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and worked for PP&L, VAST, and Mt. Trexler Home before retiring. He was a member of The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit. He enjoyed doing Soduku and spending time with his grandchildren and their dog, Buddy. Survivors: Besides his wife; daughter, Tammy, wife of Jim Scanga, of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Abigail, Jesse, and Annalise Scanga, of Pittsburgh and Matthew, Blake, and Alec Stewart, of Austin, TX; brothers, Ronald, of NC, Charles, of CT, and Richard of Smithfield; sisters, Meredith Schmidt, of CO and Cheri Stewart, of Yardley. He was predeceased by a son, D. Matthew Stewart, in 2010. Services: Funeral services Saturday, March 30, 2013, at 2 p.m., in The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, 3461 Cedar Crest Blvd., Emmaus.
