Frances G. Gendebien
Frances G. (Heimbach) Gendebien, 93, widow of William J. Gendebien, of Allentown, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at the Phoebe Home in Allentown. Born in Pennsburg, she was a daughter of the late Raymond W. and Glenna V. (Christman) Heimbach. Frances worked as a customer service representative for 25 years at Knoll International, retiring in 1982. She was a lifelong member of New Goshenhoppen UCC. Frances enjoyed sewing, gardening, playing BINGO, and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors: Children, Peter Gendebien and his wife, Sharon, Ogdensburg, NY and Renee, wife of Paul Zimmer, Emmaus; siblings, Joyce, wife of Robert Whiteford, Towson, MD, Raymond Heimbach and his wife, Joann, Old Zionsville, Lorraine Lamberton, Phoenix, AZ, Dorothy Hemmerle, Emmaus, Jeanette Harwick, Barto, Gordon Heimbach and Larry Heimbach, both of East Greenville; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents; she was predeceased by her first son, William Gendebien; and a sister, Myrtle Pirnik. Services: Memorial service at 3 p.m. on Monday, July 1, 2013, at New Goshenhoppen UCC, 1070 Church Road, East Greenville, with Rev. Dr. Deborah Rahn Clemens. Burial will follow in church cemetery.
