Donald L. Coles
Donald L. Coles, 70, of Dingmans Ferry, formerly of Allentown, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013, at his residence. He was the husband of Elizabeth J. Betty (Zwetolitz) Coles, to whom he was married over 35 years. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Clara Ethel (Cahill) Harr and stepson of the late Paul Harr. Before retiring in 2005, he worked as a machinist for Milliken Valve Company, Bethlehem and prior for Mack Trucks, Inc. Donald was a Navy veteran, where he also played baseball. Years later, he developed the Jr. Baseball League for LCYA, where he served as a coach for many years during the 1980s, and also enjoyed watching local professional teams. Most of all, he was an avid sportsman who had a passion for trapshooting, hunting and fishing. Survivors: Wife, Betty; sons Patrick L. and his wife Leeann of Virginville, Keith A. of Allentown, Tony J. Subjin and his wife Adrianne of Orefield; daughters, Annette L. and her husband Donald Long of New Tripoli, Tracy A. and her husband Darren Wenner of Lehighton; brother, William Harr and his wife JoAnne of Allentown; sister, Carol and her husband Richard Kave of Northampton; grandchildren, Michael, Patrick, Nash, Callaghan, Cole, Zachary, Addison. He was predeceased by brother, Gary Coles. Services: 11 a.m., Thursday, August 1, at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 Highland St., Allentown.
