Marjorie S. Strohmeier
Marjorie S. (Koch) Strohmeier, 97, of Trumbauersville, died Saturday, January 25, 2014, at Genesis HealthCare Quakertown Center, where she was a resident for the past six and one half years. She was the wife of the late Harry E. Strohmeier who died June 30, 2005. They were married for 67 years on June 11, 2005. Born in Hellertown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert Koch and Katie Newhard Koch Christ. She was a member of Christ Church of the United Church of Christ, Trumbauersville. She was employed by David Crystal, Inc. in Trumbauersville as a seamstress for many years and continued to sew at home for private customers following her retirement. Survivors: She is survived by three sons; Barry L. and his wife Rebecca of Williamsburg, VA, Roger J. and his wife Jo Karen of Quakertown, Brian R. and his wife Kristin of Pittsburgh; brother Joseph Christ of Coopersburg; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by three brothers, James, Marvin and Francis, and two sisters, Evelyn and Arlene. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed by all. Services: will be held at the convenience of the family. The C.R. Strunk Funeral Home Inc., 821 W. Broad St., Quakertown (www.crstrunk.com), is in charge of the arrangements.
