Grace Markowitz Obituary

Grace E. Markowitz
Grace E. Markowitz, 89, formerly of Emmaus, died March 5, 2014 in Cedarbrook. She was the widow of Michael Markowitz. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mabel (Goheen) Bader. She worked as a supervisor for Dun and Bradstreet for 20 years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of St. Johns U.C.C, Emmaus and was a den mother for the Cub Pack and Boy Scouts Troop 25. Grace will be best remembered for selling cotton candy and snow cones at all the local school festivals and at the former Pine Tree Park. Survivors: Sons, Michael Markowitz, Jr. and wife Shannon of Springfield, MO and John Markowitz of Emmaus; Daughters, Jane Hein of Breinigsville, Gail Markowitz of Miami Beach, FL, and Michelle Bollinger of Allentown; Grandchildren, Tammy Hein, Michael H. Markowitz, and Daniel Markowitz. She was predeceased by a grandson, Christopher Hein. Services: Funeral Services Thurs., March 13, 2014 at 11 a.m. in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Viewing 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to www.schantzfh.com.

Michelle, I am so sorry for your loss. Thank you for introducing me to your mom years ago. I am blessed that I had the opportunity to meet her. She was a sweetheart.

I remember her being kind to us when we were little and would visit with our parents once in a while. We would all go down to the basement and play with the pinball machine and all the games. Will remember her always.
