Boyer, Bernard A.Bernard A. Boyer, 91, of Allentown, died on Friday, March 28, 2014 in Whitehall Manor. His wife, Irene (Katris) Boyer died on May 22, 2013. Born in Fountain Hill, he was the son of the late George and Nellie (Downey) Boyer. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Emmaus. He had earned his Bachelor's Degree from Holy Cross and received his Master's Degree from Moravian College. Bernard was a career military man, beginning his career in the Coast Guard, serving in the Navy during World War II and retiring from the Army after 23 years of service to the military as a 2nd Lieutenant. He later worked for Kraft Foods for 10 years, retiring in 1994. Survivors: Sons, Michael A. Boyer and his wife Laurann, and Joseph A Boyer of Center Valley; and Grandchildren, Dina, Aaron and Anna. He was preceded in death by sons, James A. and Thomas A. Boyer; and Grandson, Raymond M. Boyer. Services: Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Our Lady Help of Christians, Hanover Ave. and Jasper Street, Allentown. A viewing will be held from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Wescosville. Arrangements by Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Allentown.
