Ron and Ted met on the Beaver Creek Golf Course in Lake Montezuma, Az about 12 years ago. That pairing of two single golfers lead to a very special friendship, which included Noma and Ellie. In more recent years, we played a round of golf, followed by dinner when Ted returned to Lake Montezuma.
Our last golf date was April 4. Ted was so excited to have been able to play all 9 holes at Coyote Golf Course in Cottonwood.
We will miss him and always remember the fun times we had. Noma and Ron White, Green Valley, Az

My sisters and I want to express our heartfelt sympathies to your family. Our father Joseph Badura worked for Ted when he first started and into the early fifties. Your father was one of the first to express his condolences at our dad's funeral in 1993. I remember playing there while my father and mother worked. Plantique designed my one garden. It was a delight sharing many birding experiences with Ted ranging from Jacobsburg State Park (at that time) to the Galapagos Islands. We enjoyed a little bit of Pennsylvania Dutch repartee now and then during those adventures. He was a wonderful and congenial person with a great sense of humor, always a pleasure to be with, I will remember him fondly.

Bruce and Pilar, Maria and Alan - Avi Ted will never be forgotten. From the first time he came into our lives he met us with a smile and a welcoming heart - the last time we saw him - it was the same. He left this life but remains a part of all of our lives. Our sadness is deep but our memories of him remain forever.

So sorry to hear of Ted's passing. Met Ted through Senior water exercise at Muhlenberg College. Had also learned he was from Lehighton, Pa. and had family there. He was a very courageous man and enjoyed talking with him. God Bless him and rest in peace.

Over the past three plus decades, a special enjoyable privilege was my unplanned meetings with Ted in the field while we were birding independently. He was always generously informative, optimally friendly, and respectfully humble. He is and will continue to be admired by me for his many generous offerings in so many diverse ways that enriched so many. I cannot help notice that he started his successful business the year after I was born, that his Cornell University experiences must have included ornithology, and that his business and pleasure time had been so complementary and complimentary to birds. My sincerest condolences to Ted's family, friends, and all those who care about him. Respectfully, Daniel Klem, Jr., Sarkis Acopian Professor of Ornithology and Conservation Biology, Muhlenberg College
