Mark Cerulli

Mark J. Cerulli 94, of Allentown, passed away on Sunday July 17, 2016. Mark was the husband of Lena A. (Scarcia) Cerulli and they celebrated their 63rd anniversary this May. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Jack and Mary (Passaro) Cerulli. Mark was a mechanic in the final department of Mack Trucks Inc. of Allentown for 45 years prior to his retirement where he was a member of UAW #677. He was a member of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church in Allentown. Mark proudly served his country in the US Army Air Corps in the European Theater during WWII. Mark was a member of the former Italian Club, and was a lifelong New York Yankee fan. Mark was very passionate about his politics. He loved animals, airplanes, was an avid reader, but he was especially fascinated with construction projects. He followed the entire building of the I 78 bypass. Survivors: Surviving with his wife Lena are his daughters; Mary Ann wife of Nicholas Balascki Jr. of Allentown, and Victoria A. Cerulli wife of David Schumacher of Lower Macungie. Mark will be missed by his loving grandchildren; Nick, Jane, and Mark. Additionally he is survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Mark J. II and his siblings; Jim, Tony, Joe, Ann Corvino, and Rose Carfara. Services: . Memorial services will be held on Friday July 22, 2016 at 1:00 pm in the O'Donnell Funeral Home, 908 Hanover Ave. Allentown. A gathering of family and friends will be from 11:30 am until time of services. Interment with Military Honors will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery Allentown.
